1. Cancer week
Nowadays cancer had been a very common illness to us beside AIDS. It can kill thousands of life in a day. So, I think that we can do a cancer awareness week. Below are the following activities we can hold:
- Exibition about all types of cancer with some models
- Experiment such as effect of smoking can cause lung cancer
- Video or pictures about serious of cancer
- invite speaker from hospital (If can)
- Games about cancer (anyone have any idea on what games?)
Budget : roughly around RM1000 (but, I am not sure about that)
PS: Anyone who has any better idea than mine, please do not hesitate to give your suggestion. As I already crack my brain to think already… @@

Game about cancer? that's new... for me I can't think of any game related to cancer... other than surgery game... but that's a game for trauma surgery
if u want to hold an awareness week related to cancer, u may think of cooperate with NCSM, National Cancer Society of Malaysia http://www.cancer.org.my/
Ms Tiang suggested that we can go for any pathlab to ask for cancer test. Maybe we can also do a cancer test for the public.
Or we can also organize a quiz for all the high school in malacca?
The quiz can test the knowledge of cancer.
Of course prizes will be given.
the idea of conducting a quiz for high school students was good. but practically, have u think of how to conduct the quiz? come out with the quiz question in paper form then ask the students to answer? competition based quiz? how many high school will involve?
Hmm.... for the quiz..i think maybe can invite few high schools? As i know there are always some high school students came to visit our campus..
The quiz can be either in paper form or computer based.
can make it big, something like the Science Olympiad. invite schools from all over Malacca :) if dun wan paper based can go like asking-answering question session. this way, we will only need to think of the questions and venues..no worry about sponsorship when your society is approved and you all decide to organize this event. preferably make it during early of the year so that it will not clash with their SPM to encourage more participants..
